blog
Today was a pretty good mothers day, and a good weekend. Ill start with Friday. Friday was pretty fun, i went over to a friends house and chilled for a while, and then spent the night. Then Saturday morning from 9 to 12 i went to driving class. It was one of the most boring experiences of my life, and i have to take seven more classes!! But i want to get my license so i got to get these done quick. Then after that i helpeed my friends who go to st charles film a video for biology. And then i slept over at another friends house. And then theres today. I made my mom a delicious breakfast because i am such a good son. And tehn for lunch i went to wendys with kevin and then we played basketball. After that i ate some steak that my dad grilled and now i am here. Well that was my weekend so now its english time. English class should be pretty good fora while, i heard that me and orson welles was a really good book so im pretty excited for that. The Julius Ceasar test was pretty easy, really the only hard part was the vocabulary as usual. But i think i could get an A on it. At least i really hope so. Well this is it for my mothers day blog. :)

blog
This was a pretty good weekend, it was nice that it didnt rain much, got a chance to enjoy the weather. But i am sorta kinda sad that we finished julius caesar, it was definitely better than romeo and Juliet.i also thought it was a lot better than 12 angry men. And for the most part it was just a pretty good play, for sure one of the best plays i have read. Although it was hard to understand by the end i got used to it, and i could understand it pretty well. And mr potter helped a lot by stopping after anything important happen, and basically explained to us what just happen. The test should be pretty easy, i have done well on all of the quizes for the most part. Except i forget the vocabulary, so hopefully the test will not have much vocab, and i think i can definitely get an A on it. Well nopt really looking forward to school tomorrow, but hopefully this week goes by fast. See everybody at school tomorrow.

easter blog
Today was a pretty good easter, and a pretty good weekend in general. On thursday i hung out with friends all day, and then went to bw3s for boneless thursday, it was so good. And on friday i saw the movie limitless, i had never heard of it until my friend told me about it before we saw it but it was a really good movie. I highly recommend seeing it. And on saturday it was a pretty lazy day, i spent the night at friends homes back to back on thursday and friday so i was pretty tired, and kind of just played x box and chilled all day. Which is a pretty good day.And today its sunday, and it was a good easter. I went to churchearly in the morning, and then went to bob Evans. Then i spent the rest of the day basically hanging out with my family, although only one of my 3 older sisters could make it home for easter it was still nice to see her, because i dont see her very often. So overall a good easter and long weekend.
So back to an english sense, english has been alright recently. Caesar has been a lot more interesting recently. Julius Caesar died, and now its getting pretty good. I just wish that i could understand the language better. That was one reason i didnt like romeo and Juliet. But Caesar is much better. Hopefully this week will be a good week in english, and all of school. I am really jealous of all my friends who go to catholic schools who are on spring break right now, but oh well. See everybody at school tomorrow.

Today is a good day, one of my favorite days. If your wondering why its because its my birthday. I am finally 16. Unfortunately i was lazy and just got my temps a month ago so i cant get my license for another 5 months, but oh well. This weekend has been pretty boring though. Friday i had to go downtown and help my wrestling team set up for a tournament, and yesterday literally all day from like 8am to around 130am i was working at that wrestling tournament. It was pretty boring but not horrible, because it was at the convention center and there are a lot of fun things to do there. And today i just kinda chilled with friends most of the day, and now i am getting ready to go to the japanese steak house with my mom and dad, and my sister is coming home from new jersey to go with us. Her and her boyfriend were there for a couple of days to buy a house, how exciting! Im not sure how to tie this in with english class, but no offense mr. potter julius caesar is not very interesting. That quiz we took was pretty easy, except for the vocab, i think i got a 14 out of 21 because i missed all 7 vocab words. But now i have to go to dinner so goodbye log community.

Blog
Today is Monday april 11, a terrific day to do a blog. Lucky for us mr. potter has been gracious enough to give us full credit for this blog thats appears to be a day late. But oh well. Its been quite some time since i have done a normal blog so i guess i can sum up spring break. For the most part spring break was pretty good. It was kind of boring but very relaxing. It was nice to just chill out and sleep in and stay up late every night. Unfortunately the weather wasnt that great, but i still hung out with friends a lot and had a pretty good time. Last week went by really fast, and hopefully this week will too. We got report cards today, and i was pretty satisfied with mine, i thought i did well. So we watched the Julius Caesar movie last week, and it was i guess interesting. We haven't gotten very far in the book, but its not horrible. Although its kinda hard to understand, its not that bad. So far i definately like it a lot more than Romeo and Juliet. That was just absolutely awefull. And the modern day movie thing was even worse. But i will give Caesar full potential. Well this blog is officially over. Goodbye.

The Courageous acts of Ed Kennedy
Dear reader,
While reading my blog post you can expect to learn about the novel by Markus Zusak “I am the Messenger.” The reader can also find various examples of genres about “I am the Messenger,” presenting the theme I chose for the novel. First you will find a newspaper article, describing a major event in the book. Next you will find a thank you note, from a family that plays a key role in the novel, written to the main character, Ed. Also you will find an illustration of a very important message that appears in the novel multiple times. The last genre you will encounter in this blog is a personal letter written by a vital character to Ed Kennedy.
The theme I chose to use for “I am the Messenger” is Courage. Courage is often shown by the main character, Ed Kennedy in the novel I read. Throughout the book Ed is faced with challenging tasks that he must complete, and nearly every task requires Ed to step up and be courageous. I chose the theme of courage, because courage really plays a key role in “I am the Messenger.” There were many themes that I was thinking about choosing, but I seemed like courage impacted the story more than any other theme. I also just thought that courage would be an interesting theme to choose.
Sincerely,
Jack
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen. ~Winston Churchill
Local low life shows courageous actions
Nineteen year old Ed Kennedy made a name for himself around town after stopping a belligerent bank robber. Ed was at the bank yesterday to cash in his latest pay check, before becoming a hostage by an armed bank robber. After being unsuccessful with getting any real money, the thief left the bank, and while attempting to steal a car he fell slipped and dropped his gun. Courageously Ed Kennedy ran after the thief, picked up the firearm, and stopped him dead in his tracks. Although nobody was harmed, Ed Kennedy local taxi driver stepped up, and became a hero.
“It all happen so fast, I didn’t even realize what I was doing until the gun was in my hand and the burglar’s hands were in the air” said Kennedy.
Hopefully this kind of incident won’t happen again, but at least we know there are heroes out there like Ed Kennedy who will risk their lives for the safety of others.
This Thursday will be the court date, in which the bank robber’s fate will be decided.
Sometimes the biggest act of courage is a small one. ~Lauren Raffo
Dear Ed,
I can’t thank you enough for bringing me and Marv back together. It took a lot of courage to stand up to my father the way you did; I have never seen anybody stand up to him like that. I’m so happy that me and Marv have finally been brought back together, and we can raise our child together. Thanks again for everything you have done for both me and Marv.
Sincerely,
Suzanne
One man with courage makes a majority. ~Andrew Jackson
Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear. ~Ambrose Redmoon

Dear Ed,
Congratulations, you have completed your first task. You have shown us great courage so far, let’s hope it will last. You have only completed diamonds; you still have clubs, spades, and hearts. Keep up the good work, and don’t give up, if you do I’ll have to kill you.
Reflection
I thought this was a pretty good project, and it was fairly easy to do. The most difficult part of the project for me was just choosing what genres to do. And after that for the most part the project was easy, and I finished it pretty fast.
The first genre I chose was the newspaper article, the newspaper article was describing a part in the story when Ed, was the hero at a bank robbery. It ties in with my theme, because it takes courage to be a hero. The second genre I chose was a thank you note. The thank you note is written to Ed from the mother of Ed’s best friends child. It ties in with my theme because Ed stood up to her very intimidating dad, to bring her and Marv, Ed’s best friend; back together. The third genre I did was an illustration. It’s the ace of spades, and the Ace playing card plays a huge role in the story, so I chose to do something with it. The last genre is a personal letter. The letter is from the man who basically tells Ed, or guides him through the missions he must complete.
Overall this project wasn’t so bad, and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

blog :(
Well although i just barely remembered to do my blog before going to bed, at least i remembered to do it. It has been a pretty good weekend its unfortunate it has to end now, i do not look forward to waking up early tomorrow. I was at my friends lake house all weekend. It was pretty fun, except for the fact that it didnt stop raining the whole entire weekend. And actually it did stop raining, but when it stopped raining it started snowing. But it still was fun to hang out with a couple friends all weekend and just chill and relax. Luckily this is my only homework that i am putting off until last minute, i may or may not have an OGT vocab quiz in history. But if i do it should be very easy. speaking of OGT im not looking forward to them next week. I loved the OGT's so mch last year as a freshman, but now they are just not cool at all. But at least we will have shortened periods after the OGT's. And plus they are like the easiest tests ever. The one we took in english i only missed four questions other than the short answer, and we have taken a couple of practice ones in math, and they are a joke too. But it still sucks that for like 2 and a half hours i will be cooped up in a classroom taking a test. And even when i finish theres nothing to do. But oh well. At least we all wont have to take it next year, or actually some of us wont take it next year, hopefully all of us. fiteen minutes = :). Blog over.

short story
It seemed like it was just an ordinary summer morning, sunny outside and about 85 degrees with a bit of breeze every once and a while. But it was no ordinary day, the date was July 21st, but at the time it was known as launch day. It was the day that a team of american astronauts would leave our solar system. The leader of the expedition was captain Hank Rigshaw. Hank had had lots of previous experience with space travel, he had already led his crew to every planet in our solar system. Although the other planets were new and exciting life had yet to be found. And Hank felt like before he died he needed to see life somewhere other than earth, and he was convinced that there must be life on other planets.
When Hank wok up that morning he acted as if it were any other morning. His robot Jeffrey had prepared his morning toast and coffee for him, and he ate and read the digital newspaper next to his wife at their kitchen table. Although Hank appeared to not be scared or nervous his wife was exactly the opposite.
"Im worried Hank, your getting to old for all this space travel." Hanks wife Karen told him.
" You need to stop worrying about it, ill be fine, and i promise this will be my last mission ever." Hank responded.
"I wish i could convince you not to go, but i know your too stubborn to change your mind." she said.
"You know me to well." Hank said to his wife as he put his shoes on and prepared to leave.
"Just promise me you will come back ok, and you will stay safe." Karen said.
"I promise, now goodbye, ill see you as soon as i get home." Hank said as he opened the front door."
"Goodbye, and good luck." Karen said.
Hank opened the door of his brand new 2094 Honda Civic, and sat down and started thje engine. The car did the rest for him and hovered above the ground as it proceeded to the space staiotion where Hank worked. Hank entered the space station and Hanks secretary Jillian had his cup of coffee waiting on the table for him. Hank picked up the coffee and made his way to the launch pad like he had many times before.
"You ready buddy?" Hanks co captain, and best friend said to him excitedly.
"Ready as ill ever be Tommy." Hank answered.
Hank and Tom met up with the other members of the crew before getting geared up for their launch.
It was 11:36, the launch was scheduled for exactly 12:00. The crew did some last minute mechanical checks before taking their seats inside the space shuttle. A large computer screen lit up in front of the crew, and their boss,Bill appeared before them.
"you gentlemen are the finest astronauts we have, i hope all of you are ready to go. This launch, and last launch for some of you gentlemen will make us all famous, it will be a history making launch. But remember to first before anything when you arrive to Goliath first complete the object." Bill Said sternly.
"Yes sir." the crew said.
"Alright boys, its launch time." Bill said.
"10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5..." the computers voice echoed, and Hank and Tom looked at each other, and nodded.
"4, 3, 2, 1, 0... We have a launch." The computers voice said.
The enourmous ship was lifeted into the air, as smoke and fire came down from below it. The ship zoomed away from the earth moving much faster than light speed, and now earth was already seemingly far away.
"Next stop, Goliath." Hank said to his crew.
Goliath was the name of the planet the crew was headed to, which was an ironic name, because Goliath would be the smallest planet they had ever encountered.
Hank was using some kind of super high tech gps to navigate through the universe as the moved closer to their destination. Unfortunatley for the crew the next couple weeks and months would be the same boring routine. They would take shifts working on the ship, and when they werent working they were sleeping. They ate canned and boxed food, which not much flavor or variety. This went on for what seemed like an eternity to the crew.
But nearly a year of almost misery to the crew, Goliath was finally in their sights. The ship hovered over the planet, but it was producing so much gas, the crew couldn't even see out of it. The shipo landed and came to a sudden hault.
"Everbody remember stick to our primary objective." Hank ordered his crew.
The crew gathered their weapons, and ws ready to step foot on Goliath. The men slowly and carefully walked off the ship and and look around but couldnt see anything for there was still dust and gas as far as the eye could see. But they heard a noise like some kind of metal ball of some sort was rolling towards them. They all stoped and didnt make a noise. They then heard a hissing, and an orange gas sprayed around them. The members of the crew all fell and were knocked unconscious after breathing in the gas, for they had forgotten their most important piece of equipment, their helmets.
The next day the crew woke up. It was hot, there was nothing around them but a steel fence, and dessert for miles. They were locked, and there was no escape.
The men all yelled and screamed for help, but nobody could save them now.

blog
Well im a little bit late on this blog :(. But at least im doing it, some credit is better than no credit. Unfortunately im probably not going to have an A on my progress report in english, because ive been kind of late on most of the blogs since this quarter started. But i enjoyed the long weekend a lot, we need to have 3 day weeks more often. Im so excited that tomorrow is already friday. But this whole writing our own story thing right now is a lot harder than i thought it would be, but once i got started it got a lot easier. For like the whole classs on wednesday when we started working on it i got absolutely nothing done, and other than the fact that i knew i wanted to do a science fiction story i had no idea of what i was going to write about. But today in class i kind of thought of the base of a story, and once i got that first beginning paragraph done, i went into do work mode, and busted out almost two pages in like 20 minutes. So hopefully tomorrow i can do the same, and finish my story and just have to type it up over the weekend. And i need to write myself a reminder or something on sunday so i can actually get full credit on a blog for once. And now its been fifteen minutes, so this blog is over, see everyone in class tomorrow.

blog 2
For once i actually remembered to do my blog at a descent hour. Although im not in the mood to do a blog, im glad at least i will finally get full credit because i did it on time. Well its in the middle of the afternoon on a sunday, and i am very bored. Im just sitting here drinking my red Gatorade thinking of what to blog about. And i am very tired, didnt get very much sleep last night, but i did get to finally see paranormal activity 2. It was a pretty good movie, i wont spoil anything, but i dont think it was really that scary, i think the first one was scaryier, but this one actually had some what of a plot line unlike the first one, and it also made more sense of paranormal activity 1. And i also watched saw 3D/ Saw 7, whatever you want to call it, but i also have wanted to see that for a while, and it was a pretty good movie. Ive seen all 7 saw movies, and it was probably one of the better ones, although they are all pretty dumb, and 7 is just way to many movies in one series. And back to english class, this past week has been pretty good in english, the wall around the world was pretty good, and i think we read another story but i cant remember what it was. And i also wasnt in class friday, becuase our wrestling team got out of school early to go to Kent State for a match, then we watched the Kent State OU match, it was pretty fun. And i won my match so i was happy. This has been a pretty successful week and blog, and it has officially been 15 minutes.

Blog
This blog shouldn't be too difficult, and its my only homework assignment. Im currently in a pretty good mood, i dont have any homework so after this blog i can play a little x box, and get to bed early, unfortunately i have wrestling practice tomorrow at 6 in the morning :(. But we gotta get ready for sectionals in less than two weeks, hoping i can get at least 4th place, and make it to districts, then states. But back to english class, we started the new fantassy and science fiction unit. So far its alright the 2 stories we have read were ok, and the radio broadcast story thing we listened to was kinda interesting, hopefully we can watch some movies during this unit. So far i liked the mystery and suspense unit better, but we did just start this new unit. I guess i can talk about my other new classes since we just recentlyey started the new semester. Well im not in health thakfully, and that horrible class has been replaced with lifetime sports, which is a pretty good class. Its enjoyable, i recomend taking it because all you do is play sports and you dont have to do that fitness crap that other gym classes do. And my othr new class is a boring study hall. Study halls are alright to have i guess, but nim going to miss having experience with foods, that is like the best class i have ever taken, and everybody should for sure take it! And now my blog is over. yay.

1st blog of 2nd semester
Well its sunday night, and its blog time. Its been a long time since i have done a blog, but blogs arent too bad. And if i had done more blogs last quarter i would have had a higher grade in the class. So im vowing to do every blog, and blog response this quarter, and do them all on time. This weekend was alright, but way way too short, maybe its because i was gone all day saturday at a wrestling tournament, but this weekend just seemed to short to me. But it was still an alright weekend, today was a good relaxing sunday, slept in till 12 and did absolutley nothing the whole day except go to church. Yesterday night was sweet thought, because i saw James Laurinaitis at BW3's, it was legit. A bunch of people were getting autographs and pictures and suchm but i didnt, now i kind of regret not getting a picture with him, but what can i do. Well back to english class, the final was pretty easy, i got a 92 on it i think, really the only hard part on it was the vocab, just because i didnt study at all for the final, and it sucked because i wasnt in class friday when everybody got the study guide, so i had nothing to use on the exam. Unfortunately now we are finished with my personal favorite unit, the mystery and suspense, and now were doing grammar. Grammar is pretty much the worst unit in english class ever invented, but i guess you have to learn it sometime, but i still find it horribly boring. Well it has now been fifteen minutes, so this blog is over.

makeup blog 2
Long time no blog :(. Here is my second makeup blog. Im not really sure what to talk about in this one. I guess our english midterm will be coming up in the next couple of weeks. But it shouldnt be too difficult considering we were informed by mr potter about half of the test will be on To kill a Mockingbird. And luckily i read that whole book, and payed pretty good attention to all the details in the book and i think i did well on the To Kill a Mockingbird test we took a couple months ago. But for the most part the english midterm will probably be my least of worries come exam week. I have six exams, and exam in every class except for experience with foods, and obviously no exam for 5th period which is my lunch. i think that probably my spanish 3 midterm will be the hardest because im awful at spanish, and i never get A's on any of the test we have taken so it will be pretty hard to get an A on this exam. But for the most part my other exams arent too hard. Im defiantely not looking forward to going back to school tomorrow, but one good thingn is, its kinda warm outside, or at least warmer than what it has been outside. But i still dont want to go to school :(. Well this is the end of my blog.
makeup blog 1
Its been a long time since i have done a blog. This is a makeup blog, and im going to do another one after this, because i think i haven't done at least 2 blogs. Well today is a pretty sad day for everybody, because it is the end of break. I knew i would end up waiting until the last day to do this blog, poor planning on my part. But in my defense i was gone for three days at a wrestling tournament in Cleveland. Overall it was a pretty alright break, i couldnt really do much unfortunately because i had wrestling practice or a tournament just about everyday except for Christmas. So english class should be pretty good for the next couple weeks or so, because now were doing the mystery and suspense unit. Which although we just began the unit, so far it has been pretty good. The last human rights unit wasnt horrible, but there were a couple of boring stories we read, like that ridiculously long Malcolm x thing. Well its almost been the fifteen minute requirement, but unfortunately immediately after this blog ni will do another makeup blog, but its my fault for being such a procrastinator. Now its been fifteen minutes so this blog is over.
